Hands of my Father was a fantastic read. I finished this book a few weeks ago in Ireland and I have been wanting to tell people about it ever since. This book is about the memories a son has of his two deaf parents. Both the author and his brother are hearing. The two boys are the only children in there neighborhood with deaf parents. The Father is a hardworking man who worked at the New York times print area. Most of the time the son spends talking about his father but from time to time you do read about his mother. I found this to be a very interesting read. The author brought out a lot about deaf life that I had not thought about before.
This was a really interesting read I would give the book 5 out of 5 stars and suggest any one who has a family member who is deaf to read it.
